An 'orthotic' is a device that is made to restore your natural foot function. Many 'biomechanical' complaints such as heel pain, knee pain and lower back pain are caused by poor foot instability. Orthotics re-aligns the foot and ankle bones to their neutral position, thereby restoring natural foot alignment. In turn this helps alleviate issues in other parts of the body. Orthotics also provide shock absorption and help to balance weight distribution which can take pressure off of sore spots like the ball of the foot, corns in between toes or bunions. Our custom made Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers help to ensure better function throughout the entire kinetic chain from the head to toe. Abnormal movements at one line, or joint, can interfere with proper movements at other joints. Some patients must have these abnormal forces reduced before they can achieve improved spinal function. Good news, you do not need a physician’s prescription to get custom orthotics made. At Cedar Creek you can get custom orthotics made at a fraction of the price that you would get at a podiatrists office. At our clinic we take current scan of your feet and then send it off to have your special orthotics made through Foot Levelers. The process usually takes about 1 week to 10days. Foot Levelers offers a wide variety of different orthotics which fit kids, athletes, and even into dress shoes.
